Outlier Civil War 2022 – Saturday June 18th

Best day of the year at Outlier CrossFit is coming up! This is an intra-gym competition where Outliers will compete in large teams lead by a designated coach for a full day of CrossFit fun. Mark your calendars for Saturday June 18th. Once registration closes, teams will be formed with an effort to be as evenly matched as possible.

This competition is for all Outliers of any experience level and is about building our community in a fun, competitive atmosphere. There will be a variety of events and participation in the events will be split up equally among team members so that no matter your experience level, you will contribute to your team as much as anyone. Event details are pending, but know that last year we had 7 events, including olympic lifting ladders, sprint WODs, and relay races. Like I said, it will be a full day of competition. Whether you are a seasoned veteran, or a newbie, this is the event of the year.

  • Who can participate: Members of Outlier CrossFit (not open to general CrossFit public)
  • Cost: $50 per person, includes event t-shirt

Registration
Price is $50 (includes event t-shirt).  Registration is due by end of day Sunday June 5th. This should give us enough time to form the teams and order shirts in time for the competition.

Participants: 4 (2 male + 2 female) people from each team perform each lift
2 heats, 10 athletes per heat
2 lifters every 0:45 (0:35 to complete lift + 0:10 transition), 3 lifts each. 11:15 per heat.

Event 2 – Snatch-Nastics
Participants: 4

For time:
A1 – 40 DB snatch (35/20) + 20 burpee-over-barbell
A2 – 40 DB snatch (50/35) + 10 wall walk
A3 – 20 power snatch (95/65) + 25 toes-to-rings
A4 – 20 power snatch (115/75) + 75’ handstand walk

Participants: 6 (3 male + 3 female)
Perform in two heats, three teams going first, two teams going second.

F1 – 10 cal bike erg + 10 DB thruster (2 x 10#) + 70m sled push (1 plate)
M1 – 12 cal bike erg + 10 DB thruster (2 x 20#) + 70m sled push (2 plate)
F2 – 14 cal bike erg + 10 DB thruster (2 x 30#) + 70m sled push (3 plates)
M2 – 16 cal bike erg + 10 DB thruster (2 x 40#) + 70m sled push (4 plates)

Event 7 – Chipper Finale
The men will perform first (event 7a), we will reset, then the women will go (event 7b). 1 person works at a time, with the rest of the team staged at the end of the lane. Athletes may tag in another member of the team at any time (the tag-in must happen at the end of the lane).
