10 Dumbbell Thrusters 45/25
30 Double Unders

L2/L1
10 Dumbbell Thrusters 35/15
20 Broken Double Unders/60 Single Unders

We start the week with the Heartbreaker Complex! With the approach of our annual Swolemate Showdown competition, we wanted to give those who plan on competing some early exposure to the complex. For those who aren’t competing, you will still benefit through the practice of heavy barbell cycling.

The WOD today is a simple couplet for 10 minutes. Find a nice even pace on the Dumbbell Thrusters (remember, sync your movement to your breath) and calm on the Double Unders. The Double Unders might feel like a quick rest at first but as you progress through the workout your shoulders will beg to differ. If you need to break up the Thrusters, that is fine but try to hit those Double Unders unbroken.
