We are excited to announce that Outlier CrossFit will soon be under new ownership. We have come to the realization that with our full time jobs and family commitments, we are no longer able to provide our members with the attention and support they deserve. We have loved every minute of owning Outlier. Our kids have all literally grown up in the gym and you members have become our extended family. We are confident that Clint and Kim will continue nurturing this sense of family and add even more depth to our wonderful community.
Clint and Kim Russell join the Outlier family with many years of experience running a successful CrossFit gym (CrossFit Coronado). Clint is currently studying towards a doctorate in physical therapy. He has been an athlete since he was young, with a background in gymnastics, martial arts, football, track, endurance running, and swimming. Although he focuses most of his effort on those he coaches, he is an amazing athlete himself, and competed as an individual in the CrossFit Games SoCal Regionals for 2011 and 2012.
Kim currently works as an oncology nurse and is working towards a masters in health and nutrition education. She has a background in competitive water polo and swimming and has worked with kids in an athletic setting since she was 15. Kim worked for the City of San Diego for over ten years teaching children of all ages and abilities how to swim, and coaching youth swimming and water polo. She is eager to start a teen and children’s CrossFit program at Outlier.
And don’t think you’ll be getting rid of the OG owners anytime soon. We aren’t going anywhere! You can expect to see us teaching classes as usual and playing the part of enthusiastic support crew for Clint and Kim. Please see below for the new training schedule.
We know that Clint, Kim, their daughter Adelyn, and their soon to be born second child will be a wonderful addition to the gym. Please help us in welcoming them to the Outlier family by attending the 31 Heroes Event this Saturday, August 9th. The Russells are looking forward to meeting all of you!!
